Contact Spreadsheet

It seems likely that with people moving more freely, their exposure to COVID-19 will also increase. Would it be prudent for employers to make template spreadsheets for employees to track the names of people they were in contact with during the work day (especially in sales, construction, and office settings)? It would be really nice if the payroll companies included a place where nonexempt employees could add notes like... more »

Reopenning Businesses

Rather than providing unemployment to millions of people, provide assistance to the hardest hit cities or counties and only to the most vulnerable populations. We know that the data shows us that primarily people with underlying conditions who are over 50 years old are impacted by the virus. Provide PPE for the rest of the population, including face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer or whatever other protections are needed... more »

Safety Guidelines

Please give clear guidelines to the retail customers to follow - but don't put the burden of enforcing those rules on the businesses. It puts hourly workers and managers in the uncomfortable position of enforcing government guidelines. Workers are burdened with enough right now. Make the police be the enforcers.

Also, please give guidelines to office buildings for capacity for workers moving forward. There have been... more »

Get it done

Open things up. It is a personal choice for one's safety. If you personally choose to be safe then stay home and order everything in. Let the rest of us enjoy our life and take our chances. End of story. Tired of being ruled by "educated" morons.

HOW WE HAVE STAYED OPEN

My company is a retail business that has been family owned and operated for 70 years. I am the HR Manager and although I am not a family member I take great pride in the business and its presence in our community and would hate to see it fail. That being said, we charged forward and made adjustments constantly as more and more information came out from the CDC and federal and state governments about how to stay safe during... more »

Reopening Businesses Will Be Dangerous

There is a great deal of anxiety regarding the economic impact of keeping businesses shut down. This is understandable for families struggling financially. The reality of reopening businesses is that safety precautions will not be adequately followed. The virus has not been controlled and people are still dying even with safety precautions in place. Until the virus is controlled reopening businesses will be dangerous.... more »

Slow opening

Restaurants should be able to open to 50% by closing every other booth or table, waitresses can stand back while taking orders or tabletop devices can be installed for ordering food and drinks, the server can approach the table with the food on the cart and leave it for the customer to put it on the table. Drink refills and billing can be taken care of in a similar manner.
