Mandatory Masks Making Employees Vulnerable

Our county is requiring masks in order for businesses to reopen; however, customers are constantly touching the masks to adjust them and then touching items in the store. Cross-contamination from masks and gloves is a serious issue since most people do not change them every time they are touched.

Employees wearing the masks complain of dizziness and shortness of breath.

There are several studies on PubMed showing that... more »

Enhanced Construction Site Safety

Construction workers need the following in place in order to work safely with and around each other:

+Take worker temperatures upon entry and re-entry using a no-contact thermometer ((NABTU))

+Supply masks for all workers aligned with current DOH & DOB standards (supply anti-fog solution so that vision is not blurred when wearing safety glasses) ((GOV202.6+OSHA))

Working Safely

Don't

The federal government should encourage states to keep restrictions in place until there is enough testing and contact tracing to make it safe for everyone. More aid need to be offered for ALL working people, including the undocumented. If everyone else is virus free and the undocumented still are vulnerable, no one can rest easy on the topic of another outbreak.

Therapy Aide

I know a few people who work in the meat packing industry: over 1000 people have died and you're threatening to deny unemployment to those workers who won't risk their lives to keep plants open?

Close the plants and protect people, not big industry.

National Requirement for Face Covering in Workplace

I believe that the social stigma of wearing a mask in public would be greatly eased if it were a requirement for employees to wear some sort of facial covering at all times while in the workplace. I believe that a government mandate is necessary for this to occur, as there are widely differing opinions on the severity of the risk the pandemic poses to the public, and would alleviate some pressure on management/supervisory... more »

DECONTAMINATION UNIT

I have an idea for a decontamination device to help ensure a virus free environment. This idea is based on the data from DHS shown on the covid 19 task force.

Removing as much virus as possible from an environment will save lives and stop spread.

By setting up these decontamination chambers at extremely vulnerable businesses it will help to eliminate the spread of covid 19.

The chamber would have a revolving door...... more »

Patient Right to Records

Workplace Safety is overseen by OSHA.

Medical Records must comply with the HITECH Act.

Patients right to their medical records was established in the Affordable Care Act.

If there was an easy way for patients to have their entire medical records in the cloud, and kept on their person in the patient's custody, updated as they go to the doctor (instead of printed on paper and given to only the patients who know they... more »

Social distancing

I believe this is going to be very difficult, people are comparing this to heart disease or cancer, & if I have to explain why this is preposterous then we are in deep trouble. I want to go back to work & hit the gym & Live my life like everyone else... but if we aren't carful, opening up too early can be a disaster. I say don't force anyone to put themselves @ risk, people who are less likely to die from this are NOT... more »

Sr:

State or government should pass a law That if a person got infected with Covid-19 , before going back to work should be retested to make sure it's clear. Some people are so desperate to go back to work because monetary issues or the companies are asking them to come back to work without knowing or just neglect, Don't care" if people still infected... thank you !🤔

How to Work Safely and Efficiently in many Businesses

To do so, many businesses which were before COVID-19, 9:00am to 5:00pm jobs, will be good to do shift work. That would ensure that workers could still practice social distancing. For example, there could be 3 Half-shifts ( 8:00am to 12:00 noon; 1:00pm to 5:00pm; then 6:00pm to 10:00pm).

Or, workplaces could do nearly 24-hour open for business, as many days of the week as they like - for example, Mondays to Fridays Businesses,... more »

Getting back to work

Depending on the industry the goal is safety. I think everyone has to be responsible for their own safety by continuing to wash hands, wear masks and gloves when needed. I think many people have continued to work throughout this from home, so in those cases some of that should be able to continue. Business offices should continue to allow their employees to work from home if they can until the numbers go down and remain... more »

Continuing Telework and Remote Work

Businesses that can continue telework options for their employees should do so. Only workers who physically have to be in the workplace to conduct operational and workplace support should return. This will allow businesses to monitor conditions, as well as still have continuity of business operations. The can return employees through a phase process.

Construction

There should be more emphasis on the construction managers and general contractors to promote safer workplace priorities. More washing stations , mask and ppe equipment for the workers. There should also be more covid testing and a plan for jobsite infections.
