Commuting Safely

Proper Sanitation

For areas where mass public transit is the primary commuting method, we need to be able to run more frequent busses and trains, while ensuring that drivers are completely sealed off from the passengers. Additionally, they should be sanitized at the end of each route, ensuring that the maximum time that such transit can act as a vector of transmission is for a single direction of travel. There are multiple technologies available to use vapor for disinfection, which the US should invest in at a federal level and distribute to states similar to PPE for all public employees, while enforcing mask wearing for all passengers.
